Belly Dancing Is The New Fun Way To Dance Workout

4 March, 2020 by Sahar Ajjab

Dance workouts are becoming huge. In addition to giving you a full body workout, they are also so much fun (also funny if you are a beginner.) Furthermore, although attending your regular Zumba classes is great for you, trying something completely new could also be interesting. Belly dancing is new one of the trends as a new fun way to dance and workout at the same time. It might seem hard at first, but we are giving you 5 reasons in this post, to encourage you to give belly dancing a chance you’ll definitely not regret.

Tones All Your Muscles

Besides making you relaxed, less-stressed and slightly happier, belly dancing is also good for you. In fact, it tones your muscles and turns your fat into solid gains. As we have three sets of abs and three sets of glute muscles, therefore, belly dancing allows you to move all those parts at once. Furthermore, belly dancing tightens the vaginal muscles, which make sit a perfect workout for pregnant women as it helps prepare you for the childbirth process.

You Workout Your Entire Body

In addition to toning your muscles, belly dancing gives you the possibility of working out your entire body at once. In fact, when you belly dance, and unlike other workouts, you move your arms, hips, legs and abs in the same movement. Therefore, with continuous dancing, you will save yourself the hassle of dedicating one day for legs, other for abs and so on…So, it’s quite normal to have a complete sore body the next day!

Increases Your Flexibility

That’s a fact! Just like Yoga and gymnastics, some belly dancing moves are really hard. They require not only core movements, but also flexibility. I mean, bending your back all the way to the floor, and getting up in a split second requires strength. However, it’s not that hard to get to do so, as it comes with practice.

The Uniform

Who doesn’t love that sexy outfit belly dancers get to wear? The costume is called Bedlah, originating from the Arabic word that literally means suit. Well, although it’s not exactly a suit, but a fitted bra, a hip belt and a long open-side skirt can allow you to move freely and easily. In addition to looking so exotic, of course.

Fun Group Exercise

Dancing in general is much more fun with people. Workouts in general may require some sort of concentration, which leads many people to choose to workout alone. However, with belly dancing, it’s actually better with people. You can harmonize, and create your own choreographies as you learn and exercise at the same time.
