Post-Thanksgiving Workout To get Rid Of The Extra Calories

30 November, 2020 by Sahar Ajjab

Thanksgiving is not the same if you keep feeling guilty about what you are eating. However, we completely understand why it would be challenging not to think about those extra calories. Thankfully, there is a way to get rid of that extra fat through a simple workout. Of course, if you are not a workout person, then hitting the gym post-thanksgiving would be ideal. On the other hand, if you prefer to avoid crowded places during this pandemic, then you can also follow this routine from home. So, without further ado, here are some post-thanksgiving workout ideas to get rid of the extra holidays weight!

Start With Some Cardio

Wether you are a beginner or a fitness expert, you know that cardio is your best way to start any workout. In fact, not only that it’s the most efficient way to burn calories, but it’s also important in prepping your body for the next steps. The good thing? Even without adequate equipment, cardio can be achieved in many other ways: Running is an easy alternative, for example.

Add Few Push Ups And Squats

Another perk of working out from home, is that you can do it with your family. If you have kids, they can tag along as well. Squats are an easy, yet important step in losing weight. In fact,  fitness experts say that ”squats are one of the best exercises you should do regularly. It helps engage all core muscle groups, increases stability and strength.”

Continue With Some Weight Lifting

In addition, weight lifting will help you tone the skin following weight loss. Moreover, strength training is also a great way to burn calories, unlike what many people believe. In fact, you don’t even need to multiply your sessions in order to ”loose the holidays weight.” Stick to weights with which you feel comfortable, and make sure not to over lift.

Finish With Fruits And Plenty Of Water

Finally, yes, ending your workout the right way is equally important. Many people drink in between workouts, but forget about that bottle once finished. That’s wrong! in order to compensate the dehydration that follows any workout (hence the sweat,) make sure to drink plenty of water even after, and eat water-filled fruits.
